Ride-Rite air helper springs are the workhorse of Firestone's air helper spring line. The double convoluted air springs offer maximum load capacity as well as years of worry-free service and support.
Ride-Rite air helper springs are installed between the frame of your vehicle and the suspension, providing load support by using air pressure.
Firestones air springs have become synonymous with quality, durability, and customer support that is second to none. Ride-Rite air bag kits utilize a pair of convoluted air springs which can be adjusted to accommodate your load capacity. The Ride-Rite series is capable of 3,200 - 5,000 lbs. of load level capacity. After installed, your ride will be enhanced by reducing inter-leaf friction which will keep your truck level, reduce suspension fatigue, and increase the stability of your Ford vehicle.
Overall, Ride-Rite air bags have many advantages for your vehicle and will help to improve steering control and braking effectiveness, level headlight beams, reduce tire wear, keep leaf springs from permanent sagging, reduce bottoming out with air cushions between the axle and frame, absorb road shock, and match your vehicles load for an overall improved ride.
This kit was easy to install and has worked very well for us. We have an F250 and with the truck bed full we also pull a 6 ton trailer, works great!!
The Ride-Rite kit itself was easy to install and has worked great for the 6 months I've had them installed. My 2008 F250 has a 6" spring lift, so I also had to have the Firestone lift spacers (#2375).
I experienced an issue with the lift and how my truck model (2008 F250) has the tang, blocks, and leaf pack mount all canted toward the front of the vehicle a few degrees. This forward cant makes the flat portion of the Firestone lower mounting bracket also have a few degree cant to it. With the lift spacers, this angle caused misalignment with the top and bottom of the air bags themselves. They were off by around 1.5 inches, front to back, and the bags looked like they were going to tear apart due to stretching when inflated. To correct the misalignment I had to fabricate some different hardware, and rotate the lower mounting bracket the top of the axle.
I put them on a 2010 F-250 4X4, installed within a couple of hours. Very pleased with the amount of adjustment. Fast shipping!!!!
