6 Things You Avoid by Lifting Your Truck

Considering lifting your truck but haven't made the final call yet? Let us help you. Do you know how many scenarios you avoid by just giving your truck a little height? Not only does a lift kit look great, but it could help you get out of some troublesome situations that you may encounter in your truck.

1. Getting stuck in harsh road conditions

A lifted truck will have more clearance for poor road conditions weather on or off-road. This will help in bad weather conditions such as snow, as well as off-road conditions like rocks and mud. Larger tires that are usually installed along with lift kits will also contribute to better handling of harsh conditions.

If you like to go off-road then extra ground clearance is a must. Avoid getting stuck, or difficulty while driving off-road. When you add a lift kit you generally upgrade things like shocks and struts to fit with the new height, these upgrades also contribute to improved driving in off-road conditions.

2. Having to run tiny tires

Everyone loves the look of big beefy tires. Often, we get phone calls from customers who have already purchased sweet looking wheels and tires but cannot get them to fit, even with trimming. Adding lift allows you to increase the size of your tires without running into any rubbing issues.

3. People asking to borrow your truck

When you have a pickup, it is inevitable that someone will ask you to borrow it to move something, or worse help them move. If you put a lift kit on your truck then people have a tendency to become intimidated to drive it, the requests to borrow it will decrease. Furthermore, the higher the lift, the harder it is for people to slide things in and out of the bed, calls to help people move should stop completely.

4. Not being able to see very well

With more ground clearance comes better visibility. You will have a better view of the road in front of you, and will be able to see any obstacles that may lie ahead more easily. This could help you to avoid dangerous situations.

5. Busting a tire or rim on a pothole

Ever hit a pothole and hear that dreaded “pop”? I know I have! Luckily when you lift a vehicle and add larger rims and tires you won’t have to worry so much about that. The additional rubber offers more protection when driving over an unsuspected ditch in the road.

6. Not being able to find a parking spot

No spot? No problem! If you have spent time driving up and down the aisles trying to find a parking space then you know how frustrating it can be. This is especially annoying when you finally find a spot and pull up to it only to realize it is already occupied by a 3ft pile of snow. With a lift kit installed this is no worry, you will have the ability to park right on top!
