B&W Trailer Hitches 5th Wheel Hitch, the Companion Slider
The Companion Slider is Here!
B&W has announced the upcoming release (May 2013) of their new 5th Wheel Companion Slider and it is causing a lot of excitement. People love B&W hitches but for short bed truck owners with a 5th wheel they have not always been the best option. Though many new trailers have a tapered front end allowing for a greater turn radius before the trailer will make contact, not everyone is using a new trailer and not all of them come standard with this.
Many people prefer the look and feel of the short bed truck, rather than the long bed. If your GVWR allows, then this should not have to prevent you from towing your trailer or camper. Sliders have always been around, but they were fixed hitches in the bed and did not give you the option to remove the 5th wheel when not towing. PullRite makes an attachment for their SuperGlide that will adapt the slider fifth wheel to the B&W Gooseneck, however convenient this is, its still not a B&W hitch.
B&W has said that people have been requesting this for years and they are finally done with the design. They are letting out a new model 5th Wheel Companion Accessory that is a slider. It has the same 18,000lb GTW capacity and fits right in to your existing gooseneck set up. You will not lose your pivoting head, and when it is locked in normal towing position will sit in the same place on the bed that the normal 5th Wheel Companion Hitch sits. You will not need to sacrifice quality just to get what you need out of a hitch anymore.
