Single LEDs VS Pairs
The first thing you should do when looking to purchase LEDs for your vehicle is whether you want your LED lights to come in pairs or individually.
This is a personal preference and even though your choices may differ depending on the specific use of the lights. Individual lighting options are great for those who want to add on to an existing lighting system and are always a positive force for those scouring the off-road at night and need that extra beam to keep the trails within their sights.
Although it may seem obvious, picking size, shape and orientation of your LED lights is a vital part of the off-roading process - purchasing the wrong type of light with the wrong specifications will only leave you unhappy, and we're here to make sure that is NEVER the case.
Round VS Square LEDs
After you decide on either singular LEDs or purchasing them in pairs the next order of business is to determine the proper shape that fits your needs.
Rounded LEDs - The round LEDs come in all different sizes and are usually equipped with the highest quality of bulb to make sure you are ready for action, regardless of the time of day.
The typical setup for a rounded LED light goes from about 5"-6" and are made popular for both the off-roading community as well as the racing community thanks to companies like Rough Country and KC HiLites
Square LEDs - Square LEDs are better equipped as accessory lights rather then your main source of vision.
The reason for this stems to the fact that square LEDs tend to be available in smaller sizes and offer different mounting options such as the flush mount so that these lights can serve multiple purposes such as back up lighting and additional lighting within your front and/or rear bumper.
