Did just what it was supposed to. Stabilized a Lance 650 on a Dodge Ram 2500. Was scary before especially going around corners.
I purchased this sway bar for my 2007 Dodge 3500 4x4 single rear wheel truck after I purchased a Lance 910 cab-over-camper. While hauling the camper I noticed a great amount of side to side motion, especially when cornering in curvy roads. While the truck handles the weight, the excessive body roll was unnerving. I installed this sway bar in my garage in about an hour, it was pretty simple with basic automotive tools. After installation, the difference was immediately noticed. In corners and high winds, the camper setup barely leans. Additionally, there is very little to no rebound upon exiting a corner. The only draw back is a small loss in rear suspension flex in uneven terrain. This is a minor draw back and would not deter me from purchasing again as I do not use my truck in hard off-road situations. The service was friendly, knowledgable, and shipping was fast. Hi Aaron, The Hellwig swaybar I purchased for my 2006 dodge diesel went on without any trouble at all. It took about 1 hr to install. It works as advertised. I have a 2016 Artic Fox/Wolf Creek camper on the truck and it has so little tip its not even noticeable. Very good product!
easy install, very good quality. have not tried it with my camper on yet, but I'm sure the improvement will be very noticeable. My old shocks still have plenty of life left so have not put the new ones on.
Everything worked out fine. All parts and pieces were in the box as promised. The Hellwig Sway Bar is certainly top quality; heavy and well built. Not being able to raise the truck it was a challenge installing the bar by myself, but being a little stubborn there was no way I would accept defeat. Using jack stands and a little ingenuity I was finished the job in a couple hours. I haven't driven with any weight on the truck thus far, but the truck does seem to corner better. The next nice day we have I may load up our camper and see how well it rides. I'm well pleased with the purchase. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality sway bar.
Easy install. Really clear instructions. Heavy duty quality parts. Had to slightly move one brake line as indicated in instructions. I have only hauled medium size loads so far but with the added weight of my flat bed it feels really solid with no noticeable roll.
