Have these on my truck for 10 years now. Originally was having issues when towing. These fixed the bouncy feeling I was getting. They have a little surface rust now but still are working good. These are my first set of Bilstein's and will use them again. Truck is a 2002 Silverado 2500HD ext cab 4x4.
I ordered the bilstein shocks based on good reviews from duramax forums. They are a very nice looking well built shock. I've had them on for a while now and the finish is still holding up on them with no problem. The shocks did smooth out my ride, but on a 3/4 ton truck, don't expect it to ride like a Cadillac. I also purchased the steering stabilizer. That helped quite a bit. Prior to the install, the steering wheel would jerk around when you'd hit a pothole or a rut on a trail
