These air springs were much harder to install than the instructions suggested. Here are three suggestions to make things easier: 1. The old springs, if you have them, form themselves around the coils and are difficult to remove. I found it helpful to take a blunt instrument (I used an old file) and push very hard on all sides of the old spring to loosen things up. I sawed through the old spring about halfway down, which made things easier. Spraying everything with soapy would also help. Finally, use a pair of needle-nosed pliers and twist them around and around as you pull the spring out. 2. I could not install the new springs without heating them up first. I used a big pot of water on the stove and got the water steaming hot, but not boiling. I rolled each air spring in the pot for ten minutes or so. Then, using rubber gloves, I could properly fold the spring. When you do this, push your thumb into the crease at each end of the spring so that you get a nice crease all the wa

The product was good but very difficult to install. It was necessary to compress the air bag into a circle, then stuff it up into a very small hole in the spring support. If the hole was a larger diameter the installation would have been much easier.

Great springs but wish they would last a little longer...the coil will wear out the air bag...but before that happens they really improve the ride and handling...I just buy another and replace it...been doing it for years...will continue to use them.

I purchased these as replacements for the factory installed units that had dry rotted and failed on my motor home front axle. I also purchased a compressor that automatically keeps them to my set pressure to prevent damage in the future. The system that I purchased from SD Truck works great - it has been installed for about a year now. No regrets getting the compressor along with the air helper springs.

I installed these on my motorhome to replace the stock ones that had failed. I found that it was easier for me to install them with the aid of a vacuum pump. they are performing wonderfully, and I certainly would buy them again.
