Add-a-Leaf helper springs are one of the oldest and most common ways to increase the weight capacity of a Chrysler Town & Country. They are simply a specially formed leaf designed to be inserted right into the existing leaf spring. Add a Leafs are also often one of the only alternatives when adding weight capacity to a vehicle that has an OEM or aftermarket helper spring above the existing leaf spring because they will not take up any room under the chassis, other than the additional thickness of the leaf itself.

These work great and they were pretty easy to install in a few hours in my driveway with hand tools. The stock ride on my 1998 Town and Country minivan was way to soft. (It leaned way to much in a normal corner and the back always looked lower than the front.) With these installed along with a little stiffer front spring it handles very well and still has a nice ride. (My wife even said it rides better now than it did with the stock setup.) This is how it should have come from the factory. I was hoping for it to be a little stiffer for towing, but they seem to be adequate for my needs.
These leaf Springs were exactly what I needed to increase the load capacity of Chrysler's marginal suspension for my 2005 Town & Country Van. Not only is my capacity increased but my Van handles with more stability. My local shop installed it for me without any problems. I could have done the job easily if I were younger (I'm 67) I highly recommend it.
