What are Shock Absorbers?
Shock absorbers are suspension components that absorb the impact of the vehicles movement. By reducing the effect of traveling on rugged terrain, you will get an improved ride quality, better wheel control and comfort. Shock absorbers will also keep the quality of your ride when driving on smoother terrain, such as a highway.
While shocks do help in limiting too much suspension movement, their main function is to dampen spring oscillations. To absorb energy from the springs, the shocks use valving of oil and gases.
Performance Shock Absorbers
We offer different brands of shock absorbers, including Bilstein, Rancho, Tuff Country and Daystar. We carry models that will fit stock height vehicles as well as lift kits all the way up to 6 inches. Shocks are an extremely important part of your suspension, as they give you ability to travel over rough roads without enduring a harsh ride. Shock absorbers will control the rate of suspension movement to ensure a smooth ride, loaded or unloaded.
