Description

Old fashioned automatic level systems use a lever between the frame and the axle to determine level and ride height. Most competitor levers are hard to mount and calibrate, and prone to failure. Now Air Lift solved the problem with SmartAir, an exclusive automatic leveling system that has a no contact arm!

I had the Air Lift system in my 2007 Dodge 3500 and it worked flawlessly for five years. I recently purchased a new Dodge Ram and ordered the same system from SD Truck Springs. I did both installations myself. With the automatic system there is nothing to install in the cab, don't need too. Just let the automatic leveling do its job. Just a note. In both trucks I removed the three spacers from the spring assembly and moved them to the top to reduce the truck height. By doing this it lowers the rear of the truck 1,1/4 inches. Once the air bags are installed and the minimum pressure of 5 psi is obtained you will notice that the rear of the truck is lowered about an inch from factory. I like it at that height, looks more level. Another note, Air Lift could have better directions, they are almost generic, they don't tell you exactly where to connect the wire to the key on position. If your not handy in that regard, I would advise you to talk to your dealer and have them advise you.
